Ramp

The role of the ramp is to manage the arrival and departure of aircraft on the ground. Agents are duly qualified to handle the machines and vehicles needed to assist flights. This mainly involves loading and unloading aircraft, managing " lavatory and drinking water " services, pushing back and/or moving aircraft, as well as de-icing. They also ensure that the aircraft depart on time, while guaranteeing that safety instructions and procedures are always followed.

Completing these tasks requires a strong sense of teamwork.

Specific activities related to a Ramp Services agent :

- Place chocks against the wheels of the aircraft's landing gear.
- Unload and loading luggage bay according to the provisions laid down by the machine manager
- Secure the nets and locks in the aircraft hold
- Close the holds and hatches
- Check and drive the machines and equipment
- Sort luggage on trolleys according to destinations and priorities
- Secure aircraft parking areas
- Respect and ensure compliance with the safety, health and security regulations issued by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, the airport, the authorities, the client companies and dnata's internal directives.
